I had a project I was lugging around. I'd take it out every once in a while and look at it fondly.
What's not to love? Garter stitch, stripes, two colors. I would pull the project out of the bag and knit a row or two. Then I would put it back in the bag and not think about it again for quite a while.
The other day I came to terms with the fact that right now the pattern doesn't inspire me. That doesn't mean I won't make it some day, but for the moment it doesn't grab me.
It's OK to change course, and that's what I did. It's back to the drawing board for these two.
I still love the color combination, and I wonder what they will become. I'm excited to find out. That's the inspiration I was looking for.
