Warning Signs

I knew I was in trouble the other day.  All the warning signs were there. I was just going to wind a ball of yarn and let it sit on the work table.

I didn't have a project in mind, and the winding was just in case an appropriate one crossed my path.  But I didn't leave it there.  I continued down that path and spent a little time on Ravelry.

Of course I found a pattern and that led to casting on.  I could have stopped there, but what's a few rows.  Just a few, I told myself.

Yes, there are more pressing tasks that need my attention, but I told myself that once this project was up and running, I'd put it down and get busy.  And I will . . . after I knit a couple more rows.
