The weather has been cold, and one of my favorite hats has gone missing. I don't usually panic when something is missing. Most missing objects surface eventually. But this hat has been missing for several weeks now, and I can't recall when I last saw it. Yesterday I decided to speed up the recovery process by knitting a new hat. My theory is that surely the missing hat would make an appearance once I had a replacement on the needles.
So far the magic hasn't worked. That's OK. I really like this new hat. It just might be my new favorite.
