Today calls for a do-over, but I've vowed to keep going. My computer is being obstinate. If I see that swirling beach ball one more time, I might lose it. To add to my tech nightmare, the camera is being temperamental and uncooperative. The only bright spot was leftover pie for breakfast.
On a positive note, I did finish one project over the weekend.
Belgian Waffle Boomerang. I don't have a good shot of the whole scarf, but it is shaped like a boomerang.
This pattern is written to include different weights of yarn. I made it with my current favorite, Bertha Sport. The color is Pond Scum.
This pattern has great texture and makes a cushy fabric. It's been my trusty companion . . . my on-the-go project. Now I feel lost without it. There's only one solution. I'm off to salvage this day and cast on something new.

The View from Here
This is what I'm looking at this morning.
Inventory for my weekend adventure, plenty of coffee and a project that seems to be stuck.
I've been working diligently on my Belgian Waffle Boomerang, but it isn't getting any bigger. You'd think I was just pretending that I was knitting. Back and forth, row after row . . . no change. And in a cruel twist, the ball of yarn doesn't seem to be getting any smaller either.
This is my only project in production right now, so either I tough it out or I start something new. I'm not giving up that easily. Mind over matter. Once I've reached the halfway point, I'm sure I'll have a different attitude.
My color inspiration for this week . . .
Urban flower arrangement.

A Little Faith
I've been poking around on Ravelry and lining up new samples. I'm still working out the details and can't cast on just yet. Since I'm finishing up one project, I needed something new to work on in the interim. Oh, the temptations . . .
This is a sweet little project (Belgian Waffle Boomerang) now that it's up and running, but I had a couple false starts. At first I didn't like the gauge, so I adjusted my needle size. Easy enough.
Then after I had worked one repeat, I was convinced it didn't look anything like the pictures. I thought the texture was going to be created with a different technique and had a notion I must have been doing something wrong. So I ripped it all out.
After re-knitting what I had just ripped out, it still didn't look any different, but I decided to forge ahead. After a couple repeats, it started to take shape, and now it looks totally like the picture. Sometimes a little faith in the pattern can go a long way.
